If you or your family requires urgent medical care whilst the surgery is closed, please phone 111 for medical advice – this is the 24 hour advice and health information service – in cases of a medical emergency please call 999.

URGENT CARE CENTRE 
London Road (next to the BBC) provides a walk-in service for non-life threatening issues. The service offering health advice, information, treatment and x-rays.  It is open 365 days a year from 7am to 9pm. You may be forwarded to the Accident & Emergency department at Queens Medical Centre if your medical issues requires specific treatment.

LOCAL PHARMACIES
They can offer advice and treatment if required for a range of minor ailments.  Under the Pharmacy First Scheme if you are exempt from prescription charges you will be able to get the same medicines the doctor would have prescribed free of charge.
